Rapper T.I. is turning his legal woes into a new MTV reality show that will document his life as he completes his community service sentence.
T.I. - real name Clifford Harris - reached a plea deal with prosecutors in March (08) over various illegal weapons charges, stemming from an October (07) incident when he allegedly tried to buy unregistered machine guns and silencers from an undercover agent.
As part of his plea deal, the Bring 'Em Out star was sentenced to one year in prison and a minimum of 1,000 hours of community service.
And now T.I. is set to cash in on his troubles, after music channel MTV agreed to preview eight episodes featuring the star doing his community service stretch before his year-long imprisonment, reports industry publication Variety.
Earlier this month (May08), Harris spoke out about his convictions, insisting the guilty charge had made him re-evaluate his life. He has now adopted an anti-weapons stance, telling fans: "There's nothing cool about going to jail."
